OBEDIENCE TRAINING
Obedience training helps you enjoy a polite, responsive dog. We can help with skills such as: Sit, down, & stay, go to bed, come when called, leash walking, drop it/leave it, polite greetings, house training, and crate training. Work one-on-one with a trainer in your home or at ours. We can also help with specific issues like nervousness, biting, pulling on the leash, jumping, separation anxiety, or destructiveness.
Positive reinforcement training uses praise to reward your dog for doing something you want him to do. Because the reward makes him more likely to repeat the behavior, positive reinforcement is a powerful tool for shaping or changing your dogs behavior. Scientists believe that dogs’ “hypersocial” relationship with humans make praise a higher value reward than food or treats.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​All dogs have the tendency to bite, or display hostility, in certain situations, like being faced with another dog or a stranger. So how do you know if your dog is dangerously aggressive?
The most obvious signs include snapping, biting, mounting people or animals, lunging, incessant barking and blocking your path. Territorial behavior is good when you are looking for a guard dog, but it could be dangerous when you are walking your dog around the neighborhood, and can be unsafe around your children.

They may experience extreme anxiety when their owners leave the home. Dogs who have experienced trauma or abuse may develop a heightened sense of fear or anxiety. Some dogs may have a genetic predisposition to anxiety. To treat anxiety in dogs, it's important to determine the cause and provide specialized training and behavior modification.
